![]() Cake Plates Being Featured at Sanlando Depression Glass Show
The Sanlando Depression Glass Show is making plans for another super great show to be held September 18,19, & 20 2009, at the Civic Center in Sanford, FL. 27 top quality dealers from 15 different states, including Florida, will be participating and bringing their large assortment of Heisey, Cambridge, Fostoria, Fenton, Depression Glass, Pottery and China of the Depression Era for you to see and purchase. There will be something to suit every pocketbook, from $5.00 on up to even in the thousands. Danny Cornelius and Donald Jones will be displaying a small portion of their large array of Early American Pattern Glass Pedestal Cake Plates, They will have many more in their booth, I 19, for sale, and you just may be able to purchase one from the display. They will also have a book for sale, which they wrote, on cake plates. They will be holding a seminar on Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 1 PM. on pedestal cake plates. You won't want to miss these. Stop by to say hello to 2 great people. The doors to the show will open Friday night the 18th at 6 PM until 9 PM. The admission is $6.00 but good for all 3 days. Saturday we open at 9 AM until 5 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is $4.50 or $4.00 with a show flyer or ad. "We're extremely sad to announce this will be our last September show but will continue with the January Show. The economy and additional expenses for the dealers forced us to make this decision," says Millie Downey, Show Director, "but our January show held the last full weekend, will continue as always." ![]() Spectacular Antiques Show Returns to Coliseum The Sunshine City Antiques & Collectibles Show, Tampa Bay’s most widely attended and anticipated antiques show, returns to St. Petersburg’s historic Coliseum October 9-11, 2009 and January 8-10, 2010. Last season’s two shows drew a combined 8,500 antique shoppers to the impressive downtown St. Petersburg venue. The Sunshine City Antiques Show features nearly 100 exhibitors from throughout the United States. Along with furniture, art, jewelry, porcelain, pottery, glass, silver, vintage clothing, toys and books – the show attracts unique dealers such as Civil War militaria, Americana folk art & advertising and antique phones that you can actually use! The Sunshine City Antiques & Collectibles Show also features a certified appraisal fair Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm. Show sponsors include Community Mortgage Services, WDUV 105.5 FM, PBS WEDU Ch. 3 and Central Avenue Antique Marketplace. The Sunshine City Antiques & Collectibles Show runs each Friday night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults. Paid admission is good for the entire weekend. Children 12 & under are free. Parking is also free. The Coliseum is located at 535 4th Avenue North in downtown St. Petersburg.
